Dick Weiss and Walter Lieberman
Born in Everett Washington, and a graduate of Yale University, Dick Weiss is one today’s premier stained glass artists. He has twice won the Craftsman Grant from the National Endowment of the Arts and is represented in several prestigious museum collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Corning Museum of Glass in the United States.
He has stained glass commissions at such important venues as, the Seattle Tacoma International Airport and the Gates Foundation in Seattle, WA.
Dick is also a renowned painter of glass and ceramics. He has a glass painting collaboration with the artist Walter Lieberman, which is called “WD40+”
Walter Lieberman is a lecturer on the subject of the history of glass at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington.
Walter is also internationally known glass painter. His work is in Museum collections such as the Corning Museum of Glass, The Museum of Glass in Tacoma, and the Glasmuseum in Frauenau, Germany. He has taught at Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State and the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. He is also half of the painting collaboration "WD40+" together with Dick Weiss.
