Catherine Woods

Artist Catherine Woods specializes in site - specific installations with an emphasis on glass.

Her public artwork is included in collections around the country and has been featured in several notable publications, including ‘Public Art Review’, ‘Sculpture’ Magazine, ‘Florida Design’, ‘St. Louis’ Magazine, and the Tampa Tribune.

In the last ten years, she has established a glass studio, designed and installed numerous public artworks, created a body of gallery pieces, worked on a series of private commissions, and taught part-time.

Currently, she is designing a 24’ glass and steel tower for a developer in Reno, Nevada, to be unveiled in March 2009.  She continues to expand her knowledge base and to introduce elements of specialty lighting, enamel on metal, and mosaic to her work.  She also continues to stretch the boundaries of fused glass.
