Lisa Zerkowitz

Lisa Zerkowitz received her MA in Art Education from the Rhode Island School of Design while simultaneously completing the undergraduate program in glass.  She has a BA in printmaking from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Zerkowitz was an emerging-artist-in-residence at Pilchuck Glass School in 1997 and was chosen as outstanding emerging glass artist of 2000 by the Florida Glass Art Alliance. She has been included in several Northwest group exhibitions at museums such as the Museum of Northwest Art, Bellevue Art Museum and Tacoma Art Museum.  She continues to produce work based on childhood memory, but has recently started a new body of work that, rather than looking to the past for inspiration, looks to that which interests her today, the landscape around her.  Zerkowitz lives in Seattle where she owns and operates Two Tone Studios with Boyd Sugiki.
