A comprehensive glass exhibition featuring contemporary glass works by Seattle-area artists, including Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, William Morris, Benjamin Moore, Debora Moore, Dante Marioni, Ginny Ruffner, Hiroshi Yamano, Martin Blank,  Richard Royal and many more.  The exhibit will be advised by Seattle art advisor Margery Aronson, who is a major proponent of Northwest art, especially glass.

Margery Aronson is an independent curator and a member of the International Association for Professional Art Advisors, who has lived in Seattle since 1976. She provides guidance to corporations and collectors on the purchase, placement, installation, documentation, and maintenance of works of art. She has worked for The Museum of Modern Art, New York, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Seattle Art Museum. During 2004–5, she was guest curator for Transformed by Fire: Sculpture in Glass from the Collection of Becky and Jack Benaroya, an exhibition of contemporary and Art Deco glass at the Seattle Art Museum. In 2008, she curated Living Legacies: Homage to a Maestro for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. Behind Glass: Creativity and Collaboration  in 2007 was Margery’s inaugural exhibition at the Arts Center.

Currently, she is curator for The Pilchuck Glass Collection at City Centre and the Sheraton Seattle Hotel collection of Pacific Northwest art. Margery has written extensively about the American studio glass movement and the art and artists of the Pacific Northwest for a variety of publications.  Her essay, “Seismic Shifts: Chihuly in the Northwest,” appears in the book Fire · Dale Chihuly.
